Sourdough Bread Recipe


  • 3 cups of flour
  • 1.5 tsp salt
  • 1.5 cup of water
  • 1/2 tsp yeast


  1. In a bowl, whisk 3 cups of flour, 1.5 tsp salt, and 1/2 tsp of yeast together until mixed. Stir in 1.5 cups of water until a chunky, thick dough forms. Cover the bowl with a plastic wrap and let it rest for 12-18 hours at room temperature
  2. Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Put a dutch oven in the oven for about 30 minutes to heat. Then gently, scrape the dough out onto a well-floured surface and shape it into a ball. With flour on the outside, set on a piece of parchment
  3. Lift the dough and parchment together into the pan so the parchment lines the bottom of the hot pan.
  4. Bake covered for 30 minutes. Remove the cover and bake another 10-15 minutes to get the exterior golden brown and crispy.
